A Passion For Restoring Heirlooms
Crescent City Artisans is a New Orleans workshop devoted to restoring and preserving heirloom pieces. Founded by craftsman William Rogers, the studio specializes in furniture refinishing, heirloom restoration, and custom-built frames and display stands.
What began decades ago out of necessity quickly became a lifelong craft. Faced with repairing and refinishing older furniture, William began teaching himself the techniques of restoration—discovering along the way how satisfying and challenging the work could be. Over time, that curiosity developed into a deep appreciation for the artistry and craftsmanship found in older pieces.
1Today, Crescent City Artisans combines traditional woodworking methods with modern adhesives and restoration techniques. Pieces that might once have been considered beyond repair can often be carefully restored, preserving both their beauty and their history.
Every project is approached with patience, attention to detail, and respect for the story behind each piece. Whether restoring a family heirloom, refinishing a well-loved piece of furniture, or building a custom frame or display stand, the goal is always the same: to give meaningful objects new life so they can be enjoyed for generations to come.
